(Amares,1978). Artista pós-disciplinar, escritor, investigador, pedagogo e curador. Vive e trabalha entre a Finlândia e Portugal, desenvolvendo trabalho para-artístico e documental de natureza híbrida e anti-objetual, com um interesse especial na criação de acontecimentos performativos que entrelaçam convivialidade, afiliação e especulação. A sua prática explora e problematiza os campos das artes performativas e da literatura nas suas interseções com a filosofia, a teoria da arte, a cultura pop e as ciências sociais e da comunicação. Trabalha com vários artistas na condição de performer, co-criador, dramaturgo e coordenador editorial. Colaborador assíduo das companhias Estrutura, Teatro Praga e Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte. Fez curadoria para diversos projetos artísticos e educacionais. Tem dado formação em escolas artísticas independentes e lecionado em instituições académicas como a Escola Superior de Artes e Design (Caldas da Rainha), a ArtEZ University of the Arts (Arnhem), a Universidade do Minho (Guimarães), a Université Paris Nanterre e a Scuola di Teatro Luca Ronconi (Milão). Membro colaborador do Núcleo de Investigação em Estudos Performativos (CEHUM) e investigador independente no Spaces of Artist Education (Society of Artistic Research). Desenvolve trabalho de escrita ensaística/performativa em publicações de autor e em colaboração com diversos projetos editoriais. Desde 1999, o seu trabalho tem sido apresentado, produzido, co-produzido e/ou apoiado por várias estruturas, festivais, instituições culturais e centros de investigação em Portugal, Finlândia, França, Reino Unido, Bélgica, Países Baixos, Alemanha, Itália, Croácia, Roménia, Lituânia, Letónia, Suécia, Canadá, Estados Unidos e Brasil. Artista Associado d'O Espaço do Tempo (PT) e membro do Globe Art Point (FI). What if a language could be a home we all share? CONDOMINIUM invites families into a playful multidisciplinary (and multilinguistic) 1-hour workshop where a short story is read, sung, whispered, and imagined together in Portuguese, Spanish, French, and English. Arranged in a circle, children and caregivers become a living, polyphonic community, discovering that even across different languages, we can speak to each other beautifully.

Geology of a homecoming


Following its debut in the form of a theatre performance (Teatro Nacional D. Maria II + STAGES, 2025), ITINERARY continues this year and through the end of 2028 as a platform for researching, inquiring, and speculating creative modes and procedures attuned to ideas of radical mobility and relationality. Within the frame of this year's edition of RE=Iniciar Performing Arts Encounter, an initiative produced by Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte in coproduction with Imaginarius Centro de Criação (Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal), ITINERARY will have an introductory retrospective/prospective residency and public showcase, featuring three main activities:


¯ CONDOMINIUM: dinner-lecture-performance with the collaboration, observation and transmission of Daniela Morganiça, José Gregório Rojas and Mafalda Banquart.


¯ THE QUEER ART OF NOT EVEN TRYING: daily breakfast practices of silence, contemplation and performative writing.

RETROSPECTIVA

Four-year project that marks, in a more critical than celebratory manner, the 20th anniversary since the premiere of Rogério Nuno Costa's tryptic of performances for domestic spaces Vou A Tua Casa (2003), as well as the educational, curatorial, academic and gastronomic projects that followed. The program includes reenactments, experimental laboratories, artist talks, the publication of two books and a new series of 3 performance pieces, created and presented on/for the theatre's stage.

CONDOMINIUM

Series of reenactments of performances, events, and documentary materials belonging to the history of Vou A Tua Casa (2003). Each event takes the form of a meeting-as-performance, aimed at the consolidation of a community that has, in more or less wandering and serendipitous ways, converged around Rogério Nuno Costa's itinerant body of work.
